Dr. Ibukun Dapo Adewale

Dr. Ibukun Dapo Adewale is an electrical and electronic engineering educator and a member of the Fall 2019 MIT–ETT cohort. He advocates a holistic approach to engineering education that develops students’ intellectual rigor, creativity, and entrepreneurial capacity. Dr. Adewale holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Newcastle University, UK, with research expertise in electromagnetic sensing, non-destructive testing, and advanced signal processing, applied to aerospace, petrochemical, and industrial systems. In his teaching, he emphasizes the integration of strong technical foundations with innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Drawing on his international research experience in electromagnetic sensing modalities and fostering a classroom culture of inquiry and exploration, he aims to produce well-rounded graduates who are both technically proficient and capable of creative, out-of-the-box problem solving in the engineering industry.
