Dr. Ime Jarlath Umoh

Dr. Ime Jarlath Umoh is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Uyo. He received his B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2006, and his M.Sc. degree in microelectronics system design from the University of Southampton, U.K., in 2009, where he also pursued his Ph.D. in circuit-level modeling of carbon-based devices. After being an MIT-ETT Fellow in the Fall 2016 cohort, his research focus has expanded to include Artificial Intelligence. He now specializes in the development of expert systems and decision support models, particularly for medical diagnosis in resource-constrained environments. He is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students in software development and intelligent systems at the University of Uyo.
