Dr. Malachy Sumaila

Dr. Malachy Sumaila is a Professor (Reader) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds a PhD and specializes in materials science and manufacturing. He was an MIT-ETT Fellow in Fall 2014. His research focuses on the development and optimization of novel composite materials, particularly those integrating agricultural by-products for sustainable engineering applications, including biomedical implants and structural components. He has published extensively on utilizing local materials for advanced engineering solutions.
