Dr. Mohammed Dahiru Buhari

Dr. Mohammed Dahiru Buhari is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Bayero University Kano (BUK) and currently serves as the Deputy Director at the university’s Centre for Renewable Energy Research. A Fall 2022 MIT-ETT Fellow, he is a dual-domain expert bridging the gap between Renewable Energy Systems and Advanced Telecommunications. His research focuses on Smart Grids, Solar PV integration, and the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture and healthcare. He has led major infrastructure projects, including the design and deployment of the 3.5MW hybrid solar power system at BUK. Additionally, Dr. Buhari works on signal processing for wireless networks (5G/6G) and radar imaging. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and is a registered engineer with COREN.
