Dr. Nehemiah S. Alozie

Dr. Nehemiah S. Alozie is a senior lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos, with expertise in energy and environmental engineering. He participated in the MIT-ETT program in 2018, which he describes as an empowering and eye-opening experience that exposed him to a fast-paced, innovation-driven academic culture. In his teaching, he emphasizes rigorous, hands-on learning and has adopted global best practices to better prepare his students for engineering challenges. Dr. Alozie’s research focuses on sustainable energy and environmental monitoring – for example, he has studied biodiesel combustion emissions and led campus air-quality mapping projects to assess pollution levels. By coupling advanced technical research with modern teaching methods, he is training engineers to develop cleaner energy solutions and protect environmental health.
