Dr. Obioma U. Uche

Dr. Obioma U. Uche is a chemical engineer and educator who has held faculty positions at the American University of Nigeria and is currently an assistant professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). She earned her B.Sc. at the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. at Princeton University, specializing in computational chemistry and materials science. Her research investigates the dynamics of materials at interfaces and catalytic reaction pathways, using advanced computational techniques to gain fundamental insights. An MIT-ETT fellow in Spring 2018, Dr. Uche gained an international perspective on engineering education and has been involved in initiatives like the Salzburg Global Seminar, striving to empower underrepresented groups in STEM. She brings a blend of research excellence and innovative teaching practices to her roles, inspiring students in both Nigeria and abroad.
