Spring 2016
Dr. Olabode Thomas Olakoyejo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). A Spring 2016 MIT-ETT Fellow, he is a leading expert in Computational Thermofluids and Constructal Theory. His research specializes in the thermal management of heat-generating devices at macro, micro, and nano scales, utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to optimize cooling systems for electronics and industrial applications. He also leads research into renewable energy systems, specifically solar and biomass, to address Nigeria’s power challenges. Dr. Olakoyejo serves as a Principal Investigator for the Royal Society Research Laboratory at UNILAG. He has been instrumental in integrating industry-standard simulation tools into the curriculum, notably leading an Ansys-funded initiative to train students in advanced engineering simulation. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
