Dr. Olakanmi Oladayo

Prof. Oladayo Olufemi Olakanmi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Ibadan. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), and both an M.Sc. in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He was an MIT-ETT Fellow in Fall 2016. Prof. Olakanmi currently leads the Embedded Systems and Security Research Group (ESSRG) at the University of Ibadan. His research focuses on solving critical security and privacy challenges in ad-hoc networks, IoT, and vehicular networks. He has secured major research grants from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and TETFund for projects including secure data harvesting for large-scale farming and anti-collision radar systems for robotic navigation. He is a registered engineer with COREN and a member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
