Dr. Osemekhian Innocent Omoifo

Dr. Osemekhian Innocent Omoifo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Benin. He was a member of the inaugural Fall 2011 cohort of the MIT-Empowering the Teachers (ETT) program. His research focuses on the optimization of wireless networks, specifically dealing with the challenges of heterogeneous network deployments in developing regions. He works on energy-efficient small cell placement models and strategies to improve quality of service in resource-constrained environments. He is actively involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research at UNIBEN.
