Dr. Saheed Adewale Adio

Obafemi Awolowo University

Fall 2017

Dr. Adio holds B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Thermo-Fluids Engineering. He is interested in nanofluids, conjugate heat transfer in microchannel heat exchangers for heat management in compact spaces, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and applying renewable materials for water and energy solutions. He joined the service of Obafemi Awolowo University as a Graduate Assistant and rose through the ranks to his current position of Associate Professor. He is currently an associate editor of the Ife Journal of Technology and the technical secretary for the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ile-Ife branch. He has developed technologies such as food processors, air comfort equipment, and solar ice makers. He proposed a volumetric energy density method for preparing nanofluids, which has since been adopted as a standard method. Dr. Adio has authored over 50 publications and is currently a research associate with the University of South Africa.
