Dr. Tinuola Hannah Udoh

Dr. Tinuola Udoh lectures in the Departments of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at Akwa Ibom State University, Nigeria. She is currently the Pioneer Director of the Institute of Oil & Gas Research, where she provides strategic leadership in advancing high-impact research, industry collaboration, and capacity building in oil and gas engineering, energy systems, and flow assurance. Dr. Udoh’s academic journey reflects a strong blend of technical depth and international exposure. She began her engineering training at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, where she obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Chemical Engineering. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Driven by academic excellence, she proceeded to the United Kingdom, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering with Distinction from London South Bank University, and later completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Aberdeen, UK. Her research expertise spans multiphase flow, flow assurance, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), interfacial phenomena, and simulation of oil and gas production systems. She is a registered engineer with COREN and a member of SPE, NSE, and NIPetE. She is also a Distinguished Fellow of the MIT–Empowering the Teachers (MIT-ETT) Program and is passionate about engineering education, leadership development, and mentoring women in STEM.
