Dr. Victor Odumuyiwa

Dr. Victor Odumuyiwa is an associate professor of computer science at the University of Lagos and was a pioneer fellow in the inaugural 2013 MIT-ETT cohort. He specializes in artificial intelligence and natural language processing, and has a passion for innovative education design in Africa. Victor has spearheaded key technology initiatives at UNILAG, including the creation of the university’s first innovation hub (NITDA NITHUB) and digital transformation projects that improved campus-wide e-services. He also co-led efforts to address real-world problems, such as developing an emergency ventilator toolkit during the Covid-19 pandemic. Through his research and leadership, Dr. Odumuyiwa continues to bridge academia and industry, driving social impact and mentoring a new generation of tech innovators.
