Prof. Adekunle Omolade Adelaja

Prof. Adekunle Omolade Adelaja is a Professor and the Acting Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). A Spring 2015 MIT-ETT Fellow, he is a renowned expert in Thermofluids, Renewable Energy, and Energy Modeling. His research focuses on two-phase flow (condensation and boiling), heat transfer enhancement, and the development of sustainable energy systems including solar and biomass technologies. He leads the Royal Society Research Laboratory at UNILAG, managing a £1.0 Million capacity-building grant focused on energy research in Africa. Prof. Adelaja is also the Coordinator of the UNILAG-LG Air Conditioning Academy, bridging the gap between academic theory and industrial HVAC practice. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Lagos and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
