Prof. Cosmas Ogbuka is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). He has established himself as a leading expert in the field of electrical machines and power electronics. His research extensively covers the advanced modeling, simulation, and control of electrical machines, with a specific focus on developing efficient power electronic converters for renewable energy systems and industrial drive applications. He has held several key administrative positions, including Director of the Computer Communications Centre at UNN, where he oversaw critical ICT infrastructure and services. He was selected as an MIT-ETT Fellow in Spring 2017, an experience that honed his pedagogical skills. He is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a dedicated corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), actively contributing to the advancement of engineering education and practice in Nigeria.
