Dr. Nkwachukwu Chukwuchekwa is an Associate Professor and the Acting Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). A Spring 2014 MIT-ETT Fellow, he is a seasoned expert in Wireless Communications, Digital Signal Processing, and Power Magnetics. His research portfolio is diverse, covering the optimization of 5G/6G Networks, path loss modeling for cellular systems in tropical environments, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to improve Quality of Service (QoS) in telecommunications. He also conducts specialized research into magnetic materials (power magnetics) to improve energy conversion efficiency. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cardiff University, UK. Following his fellowship at MIT, Dr. Chukwuchekwa played a key role in revising the engineering curriculum at FUTO.
